Windows 8 to be released 2012 – All You Need to Know About Windows 8

WINDOWS 8 DUE 2012 — We’ve just gotten wind about the next OS from Microsoft after Windows 7 through a leak that was published from an Italian blog or news site. The leak was able to showcase a slideshow that was supposed to be kept inside Microsoft(but wasn’t obviously). Slides shows what Microsoft is planning over the next few years for the OS(Windows and what they think about their biggest rivals in the OS world, Apple.

We’re not entirely sure if the final name of the OS is already Windows 8. I guess this is the codename for now and they will give the new OS a name later on nearing its release for better marketing.

What do you guys think of the Windows 8?

Samsung Galaxy Tab

The next Tablet that will take on the iPad is Samsung Galaxy Tab. As you can see in the picture, it will use the same OS that was use in Samsung Galaxy S (the one on the side of the tablet).

The confirmed specs is that it will have a 7-inch 16:9 capacitive display, Front facing camera, 3G w/ HSPA, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wifi & 3.5 mm audio jack. The 7-inch capacitive display will most like be TFT instead of Samsung’s Super AMOLED and it might have a resolution of 1024 x 600.

I think it would also have a snapdragon processor since it’s the bigger brother of Galaxy S. This one is a great competitor for the Apple iPad.

Windows Embedded Compact 7 announced

Yesterday, Asus announced their own pad that will compete against Apple iPad called Asus Eee pad. It will be equipped with CULV processor and windows 7 and there is also an Eee pad that will be equipped with Windows Embedded compact 7 which haven’t been announce yet, So here it is, Windows Embedded compact 7

Windows embedded compact 7 is less powerful than Windows 7. This is mostly use on handhelds and other portable gadgets. It is nice to see that this is already touch optimized and supports multi touch and other gestures. The thing that I love here is that it support Adobe Flash 10.1 and a media player which has a lot of codecs.

Dell Alienware M11x might be getting i3/i5/i7 upgrade

Dell’s Head of Consumer operations for middle east, Turkey and Africa talks about the most powerful 11″ notebook in the universe, Dell alienware m11x. And most of the people are complaining because it is only equipped with a Core 2 Duo processor instead of the newest processor by Intel which are i3, i5 and i7. But if you listen to this video especially at 2:20 and beyond you can hear him saying the upgrade for i3, i5 and i7 next month.

I wish I have a Alienware M11x here. Damn!, I want this notebook!

Google TV Project Announced

Today, Google announced Google TV project today. It connects your HDTV to the internet and let you search and pick the show or content that you like. Anyway here’s Google explanation on how Google TV will work:

Logitech will be its partner and is on the finishing stages which connects to your TV using a HDMI. Sony will also build HDTVs with Google TV platform inside. Google TV will have the chrome browser and allow the installation of web apps. It is expected to be available in the third quarter of this year.

Macbook White refreshed

The Unibody Macbook white has been refreshed with a faster processor and GPU. Too bad the processor is still equipped with a Intel Core 2 Duo and not the new Intel Core 2010 processors like Core i3. Anyway, here’s the specifications:

The 9400m was also replaced by GeForce 320m which is faster and better but 320m does not have a dedicated memory too like 9400m. 320m performance is 1.8x faster than its predecessor. The new macbook white also has extended battery life which can last up to 10 hours and has 1000 charge cycles.
