A lot people missed to watch 3 spectacular matches during the UFC 112 because the event was held in the Middle East. Now, people are looking for uploaded videos of the UFC 112.

I will be doing a full recap of the Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia match. I hope this would suffice for now as we haven’t found a video of the Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia on YouTube.

Below is the Anderson Silva Round by Round Recap.

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia Round 1
Not much action during the first minute, the two fighters are trying to feel each other before doing anything. They are very cautious, both of them respect each others talent. Silva lands a kick that spuns Maia back. Silva throws a jab then Maia retaliates then misses. Silva lands numerous kicks and then does a leaping punch that hits. Silva is now directing the tempo of the match. Silva lands a flying knee.

10-9 for Silva

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia Round 2
Maia starts off with jabs, Silva able to evade. Silva lands a hard right, then takes Maia down with a leg kick. Once again, Silva is playing with Maia, taunting him and literally dancing around the octagon. Silva then lands a kick. Maia misses on his counter and gets taunted again by Silva. Silva lands a kick and a jab to end the round.

10-9 for Silva

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia Round 3
Maia now has blood from his nose. Maia tries a wild punch but misses. Silva is now working on Maia’s leg. Silva throws kicks, misses and taunts at the same time. Maia tries to take Silva to the ground but unable to. Nothing much happened during Round 3. Crowd shouted BOO because of the lack of action.

10-9 for Silva

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia Round 4
Crowd boos during the start of the round, Silva stalking Maia. Exchange of punches and kicks, again not much happened as Silva didn’t want to mess around with Maia. Maia wanted to fight, Silva wanted to secure his lead on points. Again, boos from the crowd to end the round.

10-9 for Silva

Anderson Silva vs Demian Maia Round 5
Maia now has a swollen left eye to add to his broken nose, Maia shoots but misses, Maia lands a combo of punches and shoots again but misses again. Maia is going out for the KO because he knows he is down on points. Maia now has drawn the support of the crown while Silva is just trying to protect his lead. Silva does a spinning back kick but misses. Maia gets a hold and he pulls guard. Silva stands up. Referee warns Silva that he will be deducted on points if he doesn’t fight. End of Round and match.

10-9 for Maia

final score for us here ate WBN! is 49-46.

If Maia performed like his Round 5 performance, he could have had a chance to win. Unfortunately, it was too late for him. Silva wins!

Despite coming off 2 consecutive wins over strong contenders, UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn said he refuses to look past his upcoming opponent Frankie Edgar whom he will battle on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) in UFC 112: Invincible.

“I’ve said many times you know Frankie Edgar is not the guy to look past,” said Penn in a report by UFC.com.

“You know anybody who looks past Frankie Edgar is going to end up with another loss on their record and you know this isn’t the guy you play around with,” he added.

New Jersey native Edgar, who has very good wrestling skills and conditioning, has been defeated only once in 12 fights.

He beat Sean Sherk in May 2009 before submitting Matt Veach 7 months later.

“I’ve been impressed with him from the beginning,” said Penn. “He’s fast, he’s a great wrestler, and he’s got good, sharp boxing and some great kicks. I also know he’s great at mixing up his takedowns with this boxing.”

“So I’m not thinking about anything past April 10. Frankie is a great opponent and you know I just have to go out and do my best,” he said.

But the Hawaii-born Penn himself is coming off from very good fights in 2009. He submitted Kenny Florian in August that year then stopped Diego Sanchez 4 months later.

Should things go in Penn’s favor in UFC 112, the lightweight king might again return to the welterweight division where he was once a champion.

“If everything goes well on April 10th, I definitely would consider moving up to 170,” he said. “Not that it’s 100% guaranteed you know. There are still a lot of good contenders in the 155-pound division but I’m thinking about it.”

The last time he fought as a welterweight was when he challenged Georges St-Pierre for the crown in UFC 94. The Canadian champ badly outpunched Penn to retain his 170-pound title.

“If I do make that move I’m going to move slow,” he said. “I’m not going to try to rush anything. Of course, anybody would like a free shot for the title. But I want to take my time. I want to test the waters,” said Penn.
UFC 112 is set to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with the middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Demian Maia as the main event.
