Tiger Woods’ New Multi-Million Dollar Jupiter Island Florida Estate is near completion. It was in January 2006 that Tiger Woods bought the 10 acres land on Jupiter Island in Florida which was worth $40 million.

When Tiger Woods bought the place he tore down the 13 year old house and built a new one from scratch which shocked the locals. Tiger Woods place in Jupiter Island is now nearing completion and is costing over $50 million dollars. With Tiger Woods and Elin’s marriage on the rocks this estate maybe added to the properties the couple may split up if they make their divorce an official one. For now Tiger Woods is planning to make a comeback in the Golfing industry.

As a sign of apology Tiger Woods hand them each a one handed signed glove each person a signed glove by way of apology. Tiger Woods was 12 shots short from winner Justin Rose, from England who won the Memorial Tournament this is Justin Rose first win in the United States, Tiger Woods won sixth place on the Tournament.

Tiger Woods for today’s tournament admitted his form is still a little shaky, but he was heading in the right direction he verbalizes: “I have to take it step by step. It’s a process. I hit shots this week I hadn’t hit in a long time and got four rounds in.” Tiger Woods wont participate in the St Jude Classic in Memphis, but he will go for the U.S Open on June 17 at Pebble Beach in California on June 17.

In Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Players Championship with an apparent injury on the seventh hole of the final round. Sunday when Tiger Woods was hitting his tee shot on No. 7 Woods called over an official then Tiger Woods hit his second shot and again there are signs of grimaced apparent pain. The pain is located in the neck area, and this pain was present even before the Masters began.

After that Tiger Woods then walked to the middle of the fairway to shake hands with playing partner Jason Bohn before leaving on a golf cart.

There is no doubt that Phil Mickelson, the 2010 Masters Champion went through virtually the fires of hell with both Amy, his wife and mother of their three children, diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and his mother Mary. Treatment and caring for his family meant giving up his professional life. When things improved, and at the urging of his family, Phil Mickelson got back to it slowly and painfully, and judging from the result of the season until now, not too well. Uncharacteristically, Phil Mickelson had only one top ten finish. However, at the Masters, showing remarkable courage, which is the mark of Champions, keeping his cool in difficult situations, and pushing his risk taking ability to the maximum, Phil Mickelson pulled off his most spectacular victory ever. Phil Mickelson had a two shot lead over Westwood on the 18th Tee. A bogie for him and a birdie for Westwood, as happened with Cabrera and Perry last year, would have meant a play off. When Phil Mickelson’s drive ended up just off the fairway in the first cut, Phil Mickelson victory was sealed. Today, there was no joyous leap into the air at the final putt but only a warm and gentle acceptance of what was already a fact as his 10 foot birdie putt slid home. It was the longest and most emotional embrace of a victor and his wife ever seen at the Masters; it captured the acute emotional trauma they both have experienced over the last year and promised that Phil will continue to care for her also by his performance in his professional life.

Sunday opened bright and clear just like Day 2 and 3. However, the last pair of Phil Mickelson and Westwood was not doing very much. Mickelson, whose round could have been 2 under par or 8 under par depending on lady luck, made his first birdie only on the 8th hole. Therefore, one thought that there would be a traffic jam at the lead because Westwood, the overnight leader, went bogie birdie, bogie birdie, bogie having dropped one shot by the turn. He was showing some nerves, playing just plain steady golf which does not win a tournament. In the mean time Couples and Choi appeared to be making a charge.

Woods and Choi, playing together for the fourth time in this tournament, had Choi rising up the leader board turning at 3 under, while Tiger Woods dropped three shots in the first 5 holes and looked out of sort (he continued to wear his dark glasses to avoid further exposure to pollen). He again had a poor practice session this morning and was fighting to recover his form, even as he saw a 7 shot gap open up between him and the leader. Then he had a spectacular 8 iron to the green on the 7th which holed out for an eagle, followed by birdie, birdie on 8th and 9th making the turn at 1 under. Everybody thought that he was mounting a charge but, after missing a putt for birdie on the 10th he again drove recklessly into the woods on the 11th and even though he recovered well, he missed a five foot par putt. Later, on the 14th, putting for a birdie from six feet, he not only missed the very easy albeit fast putt but was so casual about tapping in the return that he missed it and ended up 3 putting.

He eagled the 15th and birdied the 18th but the tournament had long gone out of his hands. Even though, he ended up 3 under for the day and 11 under for the tournament he could put no pressure on Mickelson and Westwood because of the 3 early bogies in an untidy round. Tiger was not happy; he comes to win, not to contend; he has much work to do to get rid of the rust to win at this level. He may be No 1 in world’s rankings because of his historical feats, but he is not the best player in the world just now and he knows it. This doesn’t make him happy. It wasn’t as though good scores weren’t being made. Mickelson-5, Kim and Watson-7, Jiminez-6, Els, Verplank, Crane and others-4 were better than him. But, he just could not get anything going.

The most exciting challenges were launched by Fred Couples who was only two shots out of the lead when he met his waterloo at Amen Corner (remember, the Masters begins on the back 9 on Sunday afternoon!). This was a magnificent display of skill, experience and talent rarely seen in somebody at 50. Anthony Kim, who has had acute driving problems shot a 65 but frankly his challenge had faded on Saturday when he shot a one over. Anthony Kim has the capability of being one of the best players in the world for many years to come and we will look forward to seeing his “bling” buckle in the winners circle. Choi appeared to have his prayers and hymns answered when he momentarily went into the lead. He suffered a mishap on the easy 13th hole and could not recover.

Augusta National is experimenting with recording the tournament play on 3D TV. In the press room, they were displaying the output which one can view with special 3D spectacles; when a player hits his drive, the viewer involuntarily ducks as it feels as though the drive has been smashed directly at you.

Phil Mickelson is a worthy and noble champion and spectators as well as all the players felt that not only was this a well earned victory but also that it was well deserved. The curtain comes down on the most exciting Masters Tournament ever, until the next one. The Masters event always throws up drama which further enhances the mystique and the brand of this finest of golf tournaments in the world.

The journalists who cover this event are invited to enter a raffle for an opportunity to be invited to play on the Masters course on the Monday morning, with Sunday’s pin positions. Out of about 400 journalists, about 24 are selected by raffle. This correspondent has failed to win the raffle for the last four years but has succeeded this year. I will have the opportunity to play this course on Monday morning, in the company of three other journalists, fully hosted by the Augusta National Club and see for oneself how the course looks, feels and plays from inside the ropes.

Phil Mickelson should be very nervous about the mantle hung around him Sunday in Augusta, Ga. It was the cape of a superhero, embroidered with misguided phrases such as “the perfect family man” and “good karma.” It clashed with his green jacket and all but begged TMZ to invade his life.

He won a major golf tournament after nearly a year of watching his wife, Amy, endure treatment for breast cancer. His victory and emotional embrace with Amy after the final stroke evoked tremendous sentiment. It was lovely to see people who have been through such anguish experience great joy.

But the Masters didn’t reward Mickelson for marital devotion any more than the game ever punished Tiger Woods for philandering. Sports don’t provide a lens to assess that sort of character.

Those four days in Augusta offered, at best, a statement about the game of golf. The power balance in the sport shifted perceptibly last weekend. Mickelson has always been a straw rival to Woods, more of a semi-comic foil than a threat. It was odd to see the two of them diverge so dramatically on the final day of a major, Mickelson soaring and Woods nearly dissolving.

Woods’ 11-under-par performance and tie for fourth have been hailed as remarkable given his five-month layoff from competition and descent into tabloid hell. There’s some truth there. No golfer should be able to shoot a 69 while acting as unhinged as Woods did Sunday.

His angry outbursts on the course and sullen behavior after his final stroke were undignified, but entirely human. If he hadn’t vowed to control his temper, none of it would have mattered. But when an athlete vows to do something and fails, he’s choking.

Woods had never come within a tee shot of erratic. On Saturday and Sunday, he turned into vintage Sergio Garcia – brilliant for a few holes, hapless on the next, more brilliance, followed by increasing petulance as shots failed to break his way. Only the effervescent boyishness was missing.

He was snappish through his first interview after the final round, then went on camera for more, looking exhausted and dazed. He plodded through each answer, with an off-putting terseness that has been a part of his persona before. But Woods also seemed vulnerable, more than he ever did at the 2008 U.S. Open, when he played five rounds on a crumbling leg, constantly grimacing in pain.

Meanwhile, Mickelson never looked more comfortable on the course. His personal life wasn’t entirely irrelevant. He took some time off from the game to see Amy through part of her treatment, making a major win this spring seem unlikely. But watching both her and his mother cope with breast cancer may have taken some of the anxiety out of playing golf. Pressure in any profession tends to dissolve when bigger concerns come along.

The Masters added a huge element of suspense to this June’s U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, where Woods crushed the field 10 years ago.

But for the first time in his career, Woods may be feeling genuine doubt. Some of it might have crept in at last year’s PGA Championship, where he surrendered a third-round lead in a major for the first time in his career. After the Masters, his confidence will need some serious maintenance work, and not just because various aspects of his game abandoned him throughout the weekend.

As much as golfers like to think only of their own performances, does anyone believe that a victory by Lee Westwood on Sunday would have had the same effect on Woods as Mickelson’s dominant, 3-stroke win? Woods has to deal with a true challenge now. It won’t come from a sainted husband whom the gods will smile upon. We have no way of measuring who fits that role. As a champion, though, Mickelson just became very, very real.

Phil Mickelson delivered a dazzling array of breath-taking shots en route to a third U.S. Masters title but his magical six-iron at the par-five 13th in Sunday’s final round will live longest in the memory.

Phil Mickelson facing a four-foot gap between two pine trees after a wayward drive, Phil Mickelson conjured an audacious blow that propelled the ball 207 yards over the menacing water of Rae’s Creek to land softly three feet from the cup.

Phil Mickelson’s playing partner Lee Westwood, who had also ended up in the pine trees to the right off the 13th tee, could only shake his head in disbelief.

“It’s one of the few shots, really, that only Phil Mickelson could pull off,” the British world number four told reporters after finishing runner-up to Phil Mickelson, three strokes adrift.

“I think most people would have just chipped that one out. But that’s what great players do like Phil Mickelson, they pull off great shots at the right time.”

Phil Mickelson, long known as Phil the Thrill for his spectacular and, at times, foolhardy shot-making, felt the risk-reward factor had been in his favor.

“I had a good lie in the pine needles,” Phil Mickelson said.

“I was going to have to go through that gap if I laid up or went for the green. I knew I was going to have to hit a decent shot.

“The gap was a little bit wide. It wasn’t huge but it was big enough for a ball to fit through,” he said with a flashing smile.

“I needed to trust my swing and hit a shot, and it came off perfect.”

Asked if Phil Mickelson long-serving caddie Jim Mackay had supported his decision to go for the green in two, Phil Mickelson replied: “He didn’t try to talk me out of it.

“We were in between a six or five-iron because sometimes, out of the pine needles, the ball will come out a little slow.

“I just felt like it was clean enough that it was going to come out fine and I wanted to hit something hard, so I hit six.”

Phil Mickelson’s stunning stroke did not gain the reward it deserved as he surprisingly missed the three-footer for eagle before holing out for birdie from a similar distance coming back.

That six-iron, however, will never be forgotten by those lucky enough to have witnessed it, and the shot may well end up being commemorated at Augusta National with a plaque.

On another note, Phil Mickelson’s Masters win boosts Callaway sales.

Phil Mickelson’s win at the Masters Tournament was not only good news for local golf fans, but also very good news for Carlsbad-based Callaway Golf.”At Callaway today, everyone is ecstatic,” said Merle Marting, Callaway’s Vice President of U.S. Marketing. Phil Mickelson, who grew up and lives in San Diego, plays with Callaway equipment. The golf company has already seen an increase in phone calls and Web site visits. Marting said the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

“If you could script the perfect major to win, it’s always the Masters,” said Marting. “The Masters really kicks off the season for golf for the entire country.”

Unlike San Diego, where people play golf throughout the year, much of the rest of the country is beginning to play golf again. Marting said the Masters makes people excited about golf, and since Callaway is written on Mickelson’s shirt and bag, it helps sales.Almost half of Callaway’s total sales are between April and June. During the first months of 2009, Callaway sales were down 19 percent, but they’ve already seen an uptick in 2010.In cooperation with the retailer Golfsmith, Callaway offered a deal concerning Mickelson and the Masters. If customers purchased one of three Callaway drivers between March 12 and April 7, and Mickelson won the Masters, the driver would be free. Since Mickelson won, Callaway gave about $1 million in refunds, which were covered by insurance.Callaway is planning a similar promotion with the U.S. Open.

MASTERS 2010 LEADERBOARD or SCOREBOARD — This year’s Golf Masters 2010 has drawn more attention that it usually does because its Tiger Wood’s comeback tournament since going into hiatus after news broke out about him having mistresses. This seem to have not affected his popularity among Golf fans as people are still looking for his name on the Masters 2010 Leaderboard or Scoreboard.

The Masters 2010 Leaderboard / Scoreboard features familiar names but Tiger Woods isn’t leading the tournament. As you can see from the Masters 2010 Leaderboard screencap we took below from the Official Masters website, Lee Westwood is leading the pack with Phil Mickelson one shot away. Woods is third on today’s leaderboard as he finished two-under par yesterday. He is four strokes behind Westood and three behind Mickelson at -8.

Conditions are getting tough at Augusta National Golf Club. Tiger Woods is plodding along, minding his business, drafting on two players looking for their first major title.

This is setting up as a milestone Masters for Tiger Woods.

Tiger Woods took to the course at Augusta National Monday morning, it’s Tiger Woods’ first time swinging the golf club in front of spectators since he won the Australian Masters November 15, 2009. During the practice round, spectators either kept their silence when he passed or clapped softly. A few offered words of encouragement, according to a source

When fans applauded, Tiger Woods touched the brim of his cap in his typical Tiger Woods style and sometimes said, “Thank you.”

Decorum at the Masters is usually more reserved than that at other golf tournaments anyway out of the culture of the tournament; however, authorities have not known exactly what to expect as people crowd in to watch Tiger Woods return to professional golf after leaving it indefinitely at Thanksgiving last year. Tiger Woods suffered minor injuries following a car accident outside his home in the early morning hours after the holiday. Questions still remain unanswered about exactly what happened that night to Tiger Woods.

Subsequent reports led to Tiger Woods admitting through a public confessional statement that he had committed transgressions against his marriage. In a 5-minute interview after that, Tiger Woods revealed that his infidelity to his wife took place with more than one partner. Several women around the country, from cocktail waitresses to porn actors have come forward to say they had relationships with Tiger Woods, who said he felt “entitled” to engage in risky behavior.

Tiger Woods’ two shots off the lead of Englishmen Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, who stand 8-under 136.

It’s as if Tiger Woods spent the last four months writing this script. He’s right where he wants to be, hovering. In four Masters victories, he’s never been worse than fourth entering the weekend. This is the same position he was in through 36 holes of his last win in 2005.

Doubts about his return to form have vanished in rounds of 68-70. The focus now is on golf, and nobody does that better than Tiger Woods himself.

About the only doubt remaining is if the fallen-from-grace Tiger Woods, with big holes in his character, can still intimidate like the Tiger Woods who thought he was bulletproof.

The last time Tiger Woods returned from a long layoff at a major was the 2008 U.S. Open. Westwood played with Tiger Woods in the final round. Westwood missed the pressure putt on the last hole in regulation. Tiger Woods made his and then beat Rocco Mediate in a playoff.

“Well, I played with Tiger Woods the last round of the U.S. Open there, so that’s not really an issue,” Westwood said. “And I learnt a few things from the encounter with Tiger Woods, stuff I’m not going to share, because I think if you get into these situations and learn stuff, what’s the point of passing it on? That’s what going through these experiences is all about.”

Much has been made, probably too much, of players crumbling under the weight of Tiger Woods. Angel Cabrera heard Tiger Woods rustling in the trees last year. But it was Tiger Woods who ended his own rally on 17.

In last year’s PGA Championship, Y.E. Yang overcame a two-shot deficit while paired with Tiger Woods. It marked Tiger Woods’ first loss in 15 attempts with at least a share of the lead in a major.

Reports of Tiger Woods’ marital infidelities have shot more holes in his veneer. The feeling of invincibility led to his downfall, he said. Tiger Woods vulnerability has been on display since his Nov. 27 car wreck.

For Tiger Woods, he’s done his pre-tournament media session, been blasted by Augusta chairman Billy Payne and is no worse for the wear. In his first start of the season, he’s in the mix in his favorite major.

“It feels good to be back and in contention,” Tiger Woods said. “We’ve got 36 more holes and I’m sure the golf course, they are not going to make it easy for us.”

Woods is not a comeback player. He thrives on his smarts and others’ mistakes.

Poulter and Westwood can mute the intimidation factor by taking advantage of their friendly pairing today. They need to play aggressively to put some distance on Tiger Woods. No need to test Tiger Woods’ intimidation skills in a one-on-one on Sunday at Augusta National.

Poulter seems up to the challenge. He’s contended in the British and U.S. Opens, and got his first victory in the United States in February’s WGC Match Play.

“It’s helped a lot to win on this side of the pond,” he said. “I’m in a position now where I can go out and be kind of aggressive on the golf course. It’s a nice position to be at.”

More updates on Tiger Woods as the Masters progresses!

Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, has refused to accompany him on a family vacation following the Masters.

A source close to Elin reports that Tiger has proposed a family vacation to Elin several times but she has consistently turned him down.

“Instead, she’s planning her own trip away,” the source says. “And Tiger is not invited on that trip.”

Elin has been increasingly cold and distant following his decision to return to professional golf.

Elin continues to live away from Tiger in a property that she leased following disclosures about his scandalous secret life, and she continues to be without her wedding ring; on Friday, she was photographed without it in Orlando.

Elin’s father, Thomas Nordegren, a noted journalist, recently flew in from Sweden to spend time with her and the children.

A recent report of a fifteenth alleged Tiger mistress hasn’t helped matters.

“Elin is establishing her own life,” the Radar Online source says. “Just the other day another one of Tiger’s affairs came out, the girl in the neighborhood. Elin hears all of this. And it just deepens the betrayal she feels.”
